We are proud to introduce our collaboration with Dutch photographer Lonneke van der Palen. Her work captures quiet moments of wonder found while moving through the world. A perspective that resonates deeply with our own philosophy: travel not just as movement, but as a way to see more consciously.

For Lonneke, travel is not simply about reaching a destination. It is about creating space to observe, reflect, and rediscover the beauty in what surrounds us. Through her lens, everyday landscapes become thoughtful compositions shaped by both nature and human presence.

Seeing the World Differently

An Intentional Way of Looking

As a photographer, Lonneke moves between commissioned work, exhibitions, and personal projects. A year ago she published her first photography book, bringing together the images that define her distinctive visual language. Yet much of her most personal work begins while travelling.


Stepping away from familiar surroundings allows her to look again: slower, sharper, with curiosity. It is in these moments of distance and discovery that new ideas emerge.


Working predominantly with an analog camera while travelling, Lonneke embraces limitation as part of her creative process. A single roll of film allows just sixteen images. Each frame becomes intentional.

This way of working mirrors the rhythm of travel itself: calm, attentive, and deliberate. Through her photographs, Lonneke reminds us of something easily forgotten, that the world around us is carefully shaped by both people and nature, yet we rarely pause to truly see it.

‘If I stay in the same place for too long, I feel stuck. Travelling keeps me moving, and that’s when I start to see again.’
